Dear Supporter, More than 3,000 Maryland families have been evicted since July and courts reopened on March 15th - some with a plan to further expedite an already swift eviction process to manage the more than 100,000 pending cases. With courts processing eviction filings again, the General Assembly must take action that will provide substantive and immediate protections for the more than 200,000 households at risk of being displaced. Without action from the General Assembly during this legislative session, hundreds of thousands of Marylanders could face eviction. | |
There are less than two weeks left to prevent this catastrophe. Join us in urging the General Assembly to support crucial housing justice legislation that truly keeps people housed in this emergency, the recovery, and beyond. In Solidarity, Marceline P.S.
